Faith Evangelistic Ministries started just about October 1995 in Pastor Leighton D. Smith's business office at 5 Beekman St., in downtown Manhattan, NYC. Pastor Smith started a Messenger and Trucking Company in November 1985, and in 1995 began conducting Bible studies with a small group of about 4 or 5 people in his office. The hand of the Lord was upon him and the Bible Study grew steadily. It was at that point, after Prayer and Godly counsel, Pastor Smith decided to start a Church, Faith Evangelistic Ministries, with his small office as the sanctuary.

Time has certainly slipped quickly by....in November 2005, Faith Evangelistic Ministries celebrated its 10th Anniversary at it's current Headquarters at 90 William St. in the heart of New York City's Financial District.

As hundreds pour into the sanctuary each week at what is known as "The Wall Street Worship Center," the following scripture comes to mind: "THOUGH THY BEGINNING WAS SMALL, YET THY LATTER END SHOULD GREATLY INCREASE," Job 8, v.7. Faith Evangelistic Ministries is commonly referred to by Pastor Smith as "The Home Of The P.H.D," an acronym for PROPHECY, HEALING & DELIVERANCE.

At Faith Evangelistic Ministries, there is a strong emphasis on Bible Prophecy as it relates to end-time events. This Prophetic word is spread across the nations via radio and Television, as well as Conferences and Seminars conducted by Pastor Leighton D. Smith himself. Each week Pastor Smith hosts the popular Radio program called COUNTDOWN, heard every Friday evening at 11.06 pm on WMCA radio 570 AM (NYC and the Tri-State Area.

The COUNTDOWN Television program is also aired in Jamaica, W.I. every Saturday morning at 6:30 AM, and every Sunday morning at 7:30 AM. In Trinidad & Tobago, the program can be seen every Sunday on Channel 6 at 6:00AM, and on Channel 8 at 12:30PM in Barbados. In Guyana, South America, the COUNTDOWN program is aired on television Channel 2 at 7:30 AM.

Pastor Smith has also taken the Prophetic message across the 5 continents of the world, traveling from America to Australia and from Norway to Nigeria, covering over 38 nations of the World.

A multi-racial congregation worships each week together in harmony at F.E.M. Over 25 Nations are represented, including Italy, Greece, Nigeria, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Barbados, Jamaica, Belize, Aruba, Guyana, and many others. At Faith Evangelistic Ministries the members will demonstrate what true "FELLOWSHIP" is, because we are "FELLOWS IN THE SAME SHIP."
